City Center | Market Pulse | November 2018

Spanning 10 acres of prime Downtown DC territory, City Center is one of the largest modern urban developments in the country. Built at the site of the old Washington Convention Center in the Mount Vernon Triangle, this massive “live, work and play” community is home to two luxury condo towers known as the Residences at City Center.

Fresh to the market in November is Unit #708, priced at $914,900. With 2-bedrooms and 2-baths, the sun-filled flat has wide-plank hardwood floors throughout, a super-sleek kitchen, a south-facing balcony with great city views and 904 square feet of living space.

Also new is Unit #1006, a 1-bed, 1-bath apartment with 722 square feet of space and a competitive $679,900 price tag. This 10th-floor dwelling has the signature City Center pale hardwoods, Molteni customs cabinets, Caesarstone cabinets and a balcony.

Unit #613 had a recent price drop, from $824,900 down to $799,000. This is an oversized 1-bedroom, 1-bath with 949 square feet of interior space, European White Oak flooring throughout, a bonus family room and tons of closet space.

A special shout-out goes to Unit #505 which has the rare distinction of being two apartments combined into one stunning flat with 1,947 square feet of space. There’s 2-beds, 2-full baths and 2-half baths, along with two parking spaces and two storage units. You get double of everything for $1,995,000!

While there weren’t any closings in November, two units have been withdrawn. Unit #810 had been the most expensive listing at City Center with a price tag of $2,650,000. But now, the penthouse with its giant private deck lies dormant. Also, Unit #410, a 2-bed, 2-bath corner flat that was priced at $1,495,000 has been taken off the market.

Among the In-house amenities City Center are rooftop gardens, 24/7 front desk and concierge, fitness center and yoga studio, party room and guest suite. The mixed-use community also includes rentals, offices, hotels, a 1.5-acre park and an amazing array of stores and restaurants. Residents are also just steps away from the Mt. Vernon Square Metro.
