PLACE CARD HOLDERS
Truth be told, I’m really a little old lady at heart, as one of my favorite things to do is to set a beautiful table and invite friends to dinner. I stumbled upon these Tiffany place card holders on my favorite auction site, LiveAuctioneers.com, and finished my collection on Ebay. I think they add an elegant touch and eliminate that awkward moment when our guests come to the table and wonder where to sit. I keep one card for each of our family members, and have our calligrapher create new ones as we invite guests. I’m still looking for more of these holders for a monster-size dinner party, so if you know of where I can find them, please let me know right away!
HAIRSPRAY
I’ve just recently re-discovered my old friend, hairspray, among the many hair products on my shelf. Frankly, I was uneasy about embracing it until I saw one of the trainers at the gym spray a cloud so big it could have engulfed the entire East Coast. If he can do it, I can too! This often-overlooked hair product is really great when you want a little hold without adding another layer of product. I’ve found that it keeps me looking professional all day, even while my hair is a little longer. So there you have it, my deepest darkest secret. Use it wisely, use it well.
