Jeff’s 3 Favorite Things – July 2018

Shah Jewelers
SHAH JEWELERS

I have the good fortune of calling Colin Shah a valued client who has become a dear friend. Rarely have I met someone so passionately committed to his business and serving his clients at an astronomical level. His boutique is chock-full of some of the most stunning custom jewelry I’ve ever seen, far beyond even Tiffany and yet less expensive. The hidden gem for me, a person who wears only a watch, is his line of custom baby gifts from sterling silver teethers to rattles, cups and picture frames. Check them out online here and if you’re in DC, make an appointment to see the store. You’ll either thank me or curse me!
Bears Soft Serve
BEARS SOFT SERVE

Bears is one of those special little places easily passed by, yet sadly missed. They do one thing, and they do it SO well. The owners are adorable and know their craft like none other. The flavors are vast, and they offer a kaleidoscope of toppings and combinations. My fave is simple: vanilla with chocolate dip. YUM! And the good news is that my children rarely finish theirs so I “help out” where I’m needed 🙂 When you’re out in the Virginia countryside, don’t miss a stop here in Marshall. Check out their Facebook page here.
Taft Clothing Website
TAFT BOOTS

What list would be complete without one of my favorite things, shoes? I canmot resist passing these awesome boots along. Taft is a family-owned company, with no retail store, making the prices as awesome as the boots. My first pair is the Jack boot in black, which reads as dark gray with black trim. Très chic! They are perfect for dressing up and dressing down, suits to jeans. My next pair? Either the Jack boot in gray/oxblood or the Jack boot in brown. Shop here and send me a note when you get them. I know you’ll love them as much as I do!
Let me know what you think. The good, the bad, the ugly, the sublime! Send me an email or give me a call anytime at 301-442-8533.
