The highest price per square foot in January coincidentally belongs to the month’s top sales price. Unit #7F at the Westlight in the West End with its 2,249 square feet of living space sold for its full asking price of $2,175,000, or $1,207.20 per square foot. The condo has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and a den, and features a very modern and minimalist design. Unit #5M at 3303 Water Street in Georgetown with 2-beds, 2-baths and 1,794 square feet of space was the second-highest sale in January at $2 million and was also the second-highest price for square foot at $1,114.83 per square foot.

Unit #730 at the Columbia in the West End closed for $1,225,000 or $871.89 per square foot. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner unit has hardwood floors, a modern gourmet kitchen, walk-in closets and a balcony. Next is Unit #3 at Dumbarton Place in Dupont Circle which sold for $640,000. The 1-bedroom apartment measures 752 square feet which translates into $851 for every square foot.

Unit #712 at the Residences at CityCenterDC in the Mount Vernon Triangle measures out at 1,592 square feet with 2-bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The corner flat with its walls of floor-to-ceiling windows sold for $1,350,000 or $847.99 per square foot. Our last entry is #4A at the posh Ritz-Carlton West End. The 1,647 square foot residence with Brazilian Cherry floors sold for $1,297,000 or $774.79 per square foot.
