Offering the ultimate in the modern luxury lifestyle, the Residences at City Center combine two condominium towers with an outdoor mall and destination place in the heart of the nation’s capital. Located in Mount Vernon Triangle, the mixed-use community includes a hotel, offices, over 40 shops and restaurants, and a 1.5-acre park, all in a prime Downtown location. There are 216 condo units in a variety of shapes and sizes, and it’s all part of an ambitious project that has been described by the New York Times as a modern-day Rockefeller Center in Washington, DC.

Unit #909 returned at the end of January with a new and lower asking price of $1,395,000. The airy and appealing corner unit has a 1,395 square foot layout with two bedrooms suites and 2.5 baths. A welcoming front gallery leads into a wide and open main living area with massive windows along two sides. White oak flooring, motorized window shades, and an impressive gourmet kitchen that faces out toward the window wall are all part of the interior design.

Still available after listing in December at $1,300,000 is Unit #602. The stylish 1,191 square foot residence has two bedrooms and two baths and is filled with natural light from giant floor-to-ceiling windows along with remote controlled blinds. There is an expansive open living, dining and cooking area, with a gourmet kitchen set against one wall. Also notable is the full length Trex deck, perfect for coffee, evening libations, or simply relaxing.

One of the most remarkable condos at City Center is Unit #901/902 with an asking price of $3,995,000. The unique 2,816 square foot home is the result of combining two adjacent units. The extensively reimagined abode offers four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and two private outdoor spaces including a large two-level turf terrace. Listed at $1,385,000, Unit #502 offers a modern and open floorplan with two bedrooms, two baths, and 1,340 square feet of living space. The corner exposures result in massive windows wrapping around two sides, allowing floods of natural light and impressive cityscape vistas. The Euro-style kitchen hugs a single wall with panelized appliances, thus maximizing the spatial and open feeling of the living and dining area.

Priced at $650,000, the one-bedroom, one-bath flat has nearly 800 square feet of space and an elongated layout that adds to the feeling of spaciousness. White oak floors, a glossy white panelized kitchen that hugs one wall, and a private balcony overlooking the courtyard are also part of the appeal.

There was a flurry of sales activity to start off the New Year at City Center. Unit #710 is now in A/C status, meaning that the two-bedroom condo has received an acceptive offer with contingencies. Listed at $1,100,000, the 1,124 square foot apartment has $20,000 of recent improvements. Features include white oak floors, custom Molteni wardrobes, a built-in desk nook, and a terrific extended private balcony.
