Spanning five city blocks in Mount Vernon Triangle, CityCenterDC is an outdoor mall and destination place. It is also home to the Residences at City Center, two 12-story towers with 216 luxury condo units between them. Described as a modern-day Rockefeller Center in DC by the New York Times, the popular mixed-use development is also home to shops, restaurants, a hotel, offices, and a 1.5-acre park.
There were multiple new listings in October, including Unit #910. This is actually a relisting of the 1,124 square foot apartment at a new and lower price of $1,100,000. The two bedrooms, two bath apartment has an open concept, an extended balcony, and a modern gourmet kitchen with its Molteni white lacquer custom cabinetry, and panelized upscale appliances.
Unit #907 came to market in October with an asking price of $699,000. The 644 square foot flat with one bedroom and one bath has wide-plank white oak flooring, a private balcony, and an open glossy white kitchen with top of the line recessed appliances including a Liebherr fridge, Bosch oven, cooktop and microwave, and a Miele dishwasher.
Also new in October is Unit #912. Offered at $599,995, the competitively priced condo with one bedroom, one bath and 635 square feet of space has attractive hardwood floors, and a two-tone Foster + Partners open kitchen with white Ceasarstone counters and bleached wood cabinetry. A sunny balcony is the perfect spot for morning coffee.
Unit #908 is still active with an asking price of $714,999. The one-bedroom apartment has 1.5 baths, and a spacious 860 square foot layout. A giant wall of windows allows natural light to bathe hardwood floors in the main living and dining area in a warm glow. Other features include a modern and open kitchen, a desk cubby, and huge windows throughout the residence.
Still available after listing in September is Unit #607 at $685,850. With one bedroom and one bath, the 773 square foot condo overlooks serene courtyard gardens and a Zen water feature. A terrific layout, open gourmet kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, wide-plank floors, large windows, plenty of closet space, secure parking, and a very competitive price all add to the appeal.
Unit #803 came to market in September and has already been reduced in price, from $725,000 down to $699,000. The chic apartment with its open layout and private terrace is available fully furnished if so desired. Features include Bosch appliances, Italian Molteni cabinetry, a spacious breakfast bar with Corian counter, and a built-in desk cubby. Secure parking is included.
Unit #702 is now under contract. The two-bedroom, two-bath corner residence with 1,340 square feet of living space had been listed at $1,425,000. High ceilings, bleached floors, a large terrace, and two garage parking spaces are part of the package. A closing is anticipated in January of 2024.
Unit #1009 was new to the market in September but has since been withdrawn. The two-bedroom condo with two baths and 1,425 square feet of airy living space had been listed at $1,575,000. We will keep track to see if it becomes active again.
There were no closings at City Center DC in October.
Delivered in 2013, City Center is home to over 40 upscale retailers and restaurants in a fun outdoor mall setting. Condominium residents enjoy the white gloves treatment with staffed lobbies in each of the two condo towers, concierge service, and doormen. There are two roof parks, lovely interior terraced courtyards, a fitness center, yoga studio, wine storage, a bar lounge, community rooms, business centers, and a rooftop water feature.
