New real estate listings in the Washington Metro area continued at a torrid pace in April, including some very impressive luxury properties. The highest-priced new condominium entry is Unit #9F at Westlight in Washington’s popular West End neighborhood. The modern three-bedroom apartment is being offered at $2,995,000 and comes with three full baths, a bonus den and 2,415 square feet of sublime living space. Beautiful wide-plank floors, expansive window walls and a glossy white open kitchen with panelized appliances set into one wall, give this place an airy, light-filled feel. An open office/den area off the main living area adds to the options. Coming in a close second is Unit #6D at the incomparable Wardman Tower in Woodley Park. The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath residence with 3,139 square feet of space is priced at $2,895,000. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bath; there’s also multiple private balconies and an absolutely stunning kitchen with Henrybuilt cabinetry, Thermador appliances, Pentalquartz counters and a Danby Royal marble backsplash. Built in the 1928 by Henry Wardman, the landmark tower with its distinctive wings was recently reimagined by Deborah Berke Partners.

Unit #102 at Alexander Hall is next on the list with a $2,395,000 price tag. The three-bedroom, 2-5-bath, two-level residence in Georgetown’s East Village is one of just three condos in a former historic church, which is attached to a grand single-family mansion dating back to the early 1800s. The 2,154 square foot interior has been modernized with huge open spaces, pale wide plank floors and a completely open kitchen with white marble counters and upscale appliances set into white cabinetry. Sleeping quarters are up on the second floor, along with marvelous en-suite baths. Fourth place goes to Unit #PH406 at The Madelon in Georgetown. Listed at $2,300,000, the three-bedroom, 2.5-bath penthouse with a spacious 2,622 square foot layout is already pending! The incredible two-level residence has a soaring 25-foot foyer with skylight, a wonderfully elongated modern kitchen and exquisite hardwood floors with matching wooden three-dimensional wall accents. Direct elevator access, a two-sided fireplace and a nearly 500 square foot private terrace with views of the Washington Monument, add to the allure.

In fifth place is Unit #2A at 2501 Pennsylvania in the West End neighborhood. Offered at $2,295,000, the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment is roomy indeed, with a 2,732 square foot layout and fascinating room shapes. The main living room area has a hexagonal-shaped tray ceiling, and is open to the adjacent dining and cooking area. From the modern open kitchen to the lovely bedroom suites, this place is filled with charm. It’s back to Wardman Tower for our final entry in April’s highest-priced new listing. Unit #3C listed for $2,245,500 and is already under contract. With 3,139 square feet of living space, this meticulously restored residence in a unique historic building boasts a living room, family room and dining room, all with an open organic flow.
