Unit #PH3J at the Ritz-Carlton West End topped the highest price per square foot list in March. The stunning two-story penthouse with 2-bedrooms and 2.5-baths plus a private roof deck has 2,490 square feet of interior space and sold for $2,150,000 or $863.45 per square foot.

Placing second was Unit #436 at The Columbia, also in the West End neighborhood. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner apartment with 1,354 square feet of living space closed for $1,100,000 or $842.27 per square foot.

Coming in third was Unit #502 at The Metro in Logan Circle. The 1,188 square foot flat with gleaming hardwoods, overhead ductwork and a private terrace closed for $979,000 or $824.07 per square foot.

Fourth place goes to Unit #121 at Gaslight Square in Arlington. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath open loft with 1,600 square feet of space sold for $1.3 million or $812.50 per square foot. Unit #1909 at The Waterview in Arlington is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath flat with floor-to-ceiling windows, terrific views of the Potomac, a frosted-glass bedroom wall and 687 square feet of space. It listed at $530,000 and closed at $540,000: $10 grand over asking and a sturdy $786.03 per square foot. Our final condo in this category is Unit #305 at Lot 33 in the ever-trendy Adams Morgan neighborhood. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath flat in this contemporary boutique building has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 837 square feet of space. It sold for its full asking price of $649,000 which equals $776.46 per square foot.
