That’s a significant markup, translating to 114.29 percent of the original asking price. Butterfield House was delivered in 2008, mixing new construction with old world style, and earning recognition from the National Building Museum. Second place goes to Unit #501 at Atrium in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. The one-bedroom apartment with 765 square feet of living space plus a private balcony, listed at $394,900 before closing at $415,000, representing 105.09 percent of the original price.

Unit #1903 at The Waterview in Rosslyn takes third place, listing for $699,000 and closing at $732,703 (104.82 percent). Closing out our Top 6 is Unit #506 at 2501 M in the West End neighborhood. The open and modern two-bedroom, two-bath flat with 1,096 square feet of space was advertised at $1,225,000 before selling for $1,250,000 (102.04 percent). The listing also nabs sixth place in the price per size category at $1,140.51.
