The top sales price in the first month of the year was Unit #7F at the fabulous Westlight in DC’s West End neighborhood. The 2,249 square-foot white-on-white modern flat has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and a den, plus pale hardwood floors and a minimalist gourmet kitchen. The condo sold for $2,175,000—its full asking price. Unit #5M at 3303 Water Street in Georgetown was the second-highest sale at an even $2 million, after listing for $2,250,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment has Potomac River views and an ideal Georgetown location. Next on the list is Unit #26 at 2101 Connecticut, a grand address in Kalorama built in 1928. With 3-bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 2,900 square feet of living space, the stately apartment sold for $1,850,000.

Coming in fourth was Unit #318 at the venerable Watergate in Foggy Bottom. The 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath co-op with 2,336 square feet of space closed for $1,725,000. Next is Unit #712 at CityCenterDC in Downtown’s Mt. Vernon. The 1,592 square-foot flat with 2-beds and 2.5-baths sold for $1,350,000. Sixth place goes to Unit #4A at the Ritz-Carlton West End. The 1,647 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bath residence with Brazilian Cherry herringbone floors and marble baths, sold for $1,297,000. Finally, Unit #730 at the Columbia in the West End closed for $1,225,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath corner unit is located in a century-old former hospital for women that has since been transformed into an upscale condominium community with a ground floor Trader Joe’s.
