The top condominium sales price in the Washington, DC area in October is Unit #9J at 22 West in the West End neighborhood. This very modern duplex penthouse has 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,650 square feet of living space. Priced at $2,080,000 as a private offering, the elegant residence with its walls of windows wound up selling for full price. Running a very close second is Unit #PH08 at Turnberry Tower in the Rosslyn waterfront neighborhood. The 25th floor penthouse, located in the tallest residential building in Washington Metro, listed for $2.1 million and closed for an even $2 million. Among the many features are a private elevator, extra-wide plank hardwood floors, 11-foot ceilings and a private wraparound balcony offering unrestricted Potomac River views.

In third place is Unit #512 at 2501 M in the West End neighborhood. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath modern flat with its walls of windows and Italian wood floors has 1,340 square feet of space and a streamlined European-style kitchen with recessed Bosch and Thermador appliances. After listing for $1,698,000, the condo sold for $1,660,000. Unit #45 at the strikingly modern Westlight in DC’s West End takes fourth place in the month’s highest sales. With 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and a spacious 1,542 square foot floor plan, the white-on-white apartment with its sleek panelized kitchen listed for $1,595,000 and sold for full price.

Unit #315 at the Warehouses at Union Row in the trendy U Street Corridor was the fifth highest sales price in October as well as the highest list-to-sales ratio. The 3-bedroom, 3-bath loft with its soaring ceilings and private deck listed at $1,389,000 and sold for $1,560,000—a whopping $171,000 over asking. Unit #128 at Gaslight Square in Rosslyn was priced at $1,625,000 and closed for $1,537,500. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath loft has 1,882 square feet of living space, gleaming hardwood floors, and open chef’s kitchen, outrageously high ceilings and floating spiral iron stairs—as well as an elevator—leading to loft level bedrooms and a private rooftop deck.
