Three buildings had three closings each in April: Amaris in the Southwest Waterfront, 555 Mass in Mount Vernon Triangle, and Verse in Tysons. Amaris with its twisting façade is home to Unit #PH1, a stunning 5,790 square foot penthouse that shattered all previous condo sales records in Washington, DC with a $12,762,000 closing. The four-bedroom residence with five full and two partial baths also captured the top price per square foot at $2,204.15 as well as the second-highest list to sales ratio at 102.10 percent.

There were eight buildings were two sales each. The Bryan School Lofts on Capitol Hill is a historical landmark, City Vista in Mount Vernon Triangle is comprised of three luxury buildings, Ritz-Carlton in the West End neighborhood offers white gloves service, The Beauregard in the U Street Corridor is modern and desirable, The Sonata in Mount Vernon is a true loft style condominium, the iconic Watergate in Foggy Bottom needs no introduction, Turnberry Tower in Rosslyn is the tallest residential building in the region, and VIO at The Wharf combines new construction luxury with point blank views of the Washington Channel.

From this substantial list, Unit #1104 at VIO had the second highest price per square foot in April. The super sleek two-bedroom, two baths, with views of the water from the private terrace and 1,130 square feet of living space sold for $1,253,500, translating to $1,109.29 per square foot. Also notable, Unit #4D at the Ritz-Carlton West End had the third highest sale of the month at $1,650,000 while Unit #1603 at Turnberry Tower had the fourth highest closing at $1,635,000. Rounding out our Top 12 is CityCenterDC in Mount Vernon Triangle with one closing. Unit #501 is a one-bedroom, one-bath corner residence with 981 square feet of living space and giant window walls, that sold for $750,000.
