Market Leaders | Most Units Sold | October 2019

There were seven luxury buildings in Washington Metro with two sales each in October. 2501 M in DC’s West End neighborhood is a dramatically re-imagined 1980s office and residential structure that has been reborn with highly modern flair. Unit #512 with 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths and 1,340 square feet of living space listed for $1,698,000 and sold for $1,660,000. The residence features Italian wood floors, massive floor-to-ceiling windows and a Euro-style kitchen with panelized Bosch and Thermador appliances.

Unit #701 is the second October closing at 2501 M. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath flat listed at $1,099,000 and sold for $1,019,000. 555 Mass in Mount Vernon Triangle had two sales in October. The downtown high-rise was delivered in 2006 and is chock-full of upscale amenities. Chase Point in Friendship Heights/Chevy Chase had two sales in October—Units #410 and #307—each listing for $1,350,000 and each selling at full price for $1,350,000. Ten Ten Mass in Mount Vernon Triangle with one of the best roof decks in the city also had two sales.

Other buildings with two sales each include the Artisan in Penn Quarter, The Whitman in Mount Vernon Triangle, Union Row in the U Street Corridor, the historic Yale Steam Laundry in Mount Vernon Triangle and Turnberry Tower in Rosslyn. Sales at Turnberry Tower included Unit #PH08, a 25th floor penthouse with private elevator that listed for $2.1 million and closed for $2 million, making it the second-highest sale of the month.

There were four buildings with one sale each of note. 22 West in the West End is a highly modernistic building with jutting angles and giant window walls. Unit #9J is a two-level penthouse with 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and 1,650 square feet of living space that listed for $2,080,000 and sold for full price at $2,080,000, making it the highest condo sales price in DC in October. 525 Water Street in Georgetown, Atrium in Arlington and Logan Mansions in Logan Circle also had one sale each. Notably, Unit #4A at Logan Mansions was the building’s first sale since January 31, 2018. The beautiful 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse penthouse has 1,898 square feet of living space, hardwood floors, a modern open kitchen and soaring ceilings. It listed and closed for $1,400,000.
