Ritz-Carlton West End | Market Pulse | February 2021

The Ritz-Carlton West End is part of the famous hospitality brand, located in Washington’s West End neighborhood. Known for its white gloves service and amenities, the complex features a hotel flanked by two condominium towers, plus a central courtyard, waterfall and street level retail. The condos themselves are quite elegant and spacious with prices climbing well into seven figure territory.

New to the market in February is Unit #PH3E, a spectacular “sanctuary in the sky” listed at $5,999,000. The 5,112 square foot penthouse has two levels of living space with three bedrooms, 5.5 baths, a living room with wood-burning fireplace and two sitting areas, a dining room, family room, gym, wet bar, library and a secondary office! The main level owner’s suite is incredible, as are the two upstairs bedroom suites. The crowning touch is a 4,000 square foot private multilevel roof terrace!

Unit #PH2E is another incredible penthouse, this time boasting 4,008 square feet of living space and three private terraces for $3,795,000. Brazilian Cherry herringbone floors and custom wall treatments give the residence a distinct look. There is a catering kitchen with wine cooler in addition to the main chef’s kitchen, plus a home office, a family room with dining bar and a media room with built-ins.

Unit #6B listed in January at $2,595,000. The 2,449 square foot apartment with three bedrooms and 3.5 baths has been extensively renovated at a cost of nearly seven figures. Dark wood floors and custom wall treatments give the residence a modern showcase appeal. The many features include a gourmet kitchen, a wet bar, gas fireplace, lovely owner’s suite and a large private terrace with wood flooring.

Still available is Unit #5A, a renovated three-bedroom apartment offered at $2,395,000. With 2,845 square feet of living space, the residence features a fireplace in the living room, a bonus family room and a large, beautifully remodeled kitchen with white marble counters, wraparound full height white brick backsplashes and wide-plank flooring. Each of the 3.5 baths have been remodeled.

Unit #6G came to market in January with an asking price of $1,100,000. With one bedroom and two full baths, this apartment is being sold fully furnished. Large open spaces, custom wall finishes and a massive window wall overlooking the courtyard make the 1,062 square foot residence seem especially roomy. It comes with in-unit washer/dryer and one parking space.

Unit #4G is still active with an asking price of $1,049,000. The 1,147 square foot residence has an owner’s suite, two full baths and a second bedroom that can serve nicely as a work-from-home space. The spacious living area has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing tons of natural light, as well as a gas fireplace. An adjacent dining area has large built-ins. You can also dine out on a large private terrace!

Unit #3L remains available at $990,000. The one-bedroom, 1.5-bath flat sports a contemporary look with dark hardwood floors. A sleek remodeled open kitchen features a white marble waterfall island, marble slab backsplash and stainless steel Viking appliances. A large bedroom has been customized with built-in closets, pendant lighting, a built-in desk and a wall of windows.

If you’re seeking a penthouse for less than seven figures at the Ritz-Carlton, check out Unit #PH1F. Listed at just $829,000, the one-bedroom, and two-bath luxury bird’s nest features 978 square feet of space, a giant wall of windows, blonde hardwood floors and matching built-ins. A cool office cubby adds another cool touch for this sunny and stylishly modern pad.

Unit #2D was reduced in price in January. Originally listed at $1,495,000, the elegant city home is now available for $1,395,000. That’s a full $100K drop for the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo with 1,760 square feet of living space. You’ll also get two balconies plus a large private terrace overlooking the courtyard. Brazilian Cherry floors, custom finishes and marble baths add to the appeal.

There were no new pending transactions or closings in February.

The full service treatment extends from the Ritz-Carlton West End hotel to the condominium residences themselves. Available options include housekeeping, room service and even private chefs! Other amenities include a heated indoor pool, staffed front desk and concierge, and priority access to the onsite Equinox Sports Club. Other street level businesses include CVS, Sweetgreen and SoulCycle. Landmark’s West End Cinema is steps away, as are popular local restaurants.
