Ritz-Carlton West End | Market Pulse | January 2020

Synonymous with luxury and the full service treatment, the Residences at Ritz-Carlton West End are part of the world famous Ritz-Carlton luxury brand. There are two 11-story condominium towers, flanking a central hotel component. These spacious apartments combine traditional elegance, modern features and a terrific West End location. The address is also home to popular street level businesses.

After being withdrawn last fall, Unit #PH2E is back with a significantly reduced price of $3,795,000—a drop of $200,000! This 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath penthouse boasts 4,008 square feet of living space, custom wall treatments and three private terraces. The living area has an intricately coffered ceiling, and is adjacent the formal dining room. A large gourmet kitchen is bordered by a sunroom with breakfast bar to one side and a family room to the other. There’s also a home office with catering kitchen and a giant master bedroom suite with its own private terrace.

Unit #PH3P also came back on the market in January. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath penthouse triplex has 2,150 square feet of living space. Listed at $1,999,000, this intriguing floorplan has an owner’s suite and second bedroom, each with en-suite baths, on the lower level. The second level is home to the foyer, a gourmet kitchen, living area, dining area and powder room. The upper level is where you’ll find a large office with sliders leading out to an impressive private terrace. It’s the perfect place to entertain!

Unit #8G is a brand new listing. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment has 1,147 square feet of living space and is listed at $1,099,000. The immaculately renovated flat has hardwood floors throughout, custom built-ins and a new gourmet kitchen with upscale stainless steel appliances and wraparound white brick accents. A spacious balcony is accessible from the living area, the owner’s suite and the second bedroom. There’s plenty of extras in this handsome upper floor residence.

Still available is one of the most lavish penthouse residences in Washington Metro. Unit #PH3E with two levels, 3-bedrooms, 5.5-baths and more than 5,000 square feet of living space is listed at $6,895,000. A formal dining room, study, family room, exercise room and a 4,000 square foot private multi-tiered roof deck are a few of the extras! It’s kind of like a mansion inside an apartment building.

Unit #4C is also still available. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment has 1,846 square feet of room with an asking price of $1,795,000. The south facing condo has been renovated with a white-on-white chef’s kitchen with Sub-Zero, Viking and Miele stainless steel appliances. Other features include Carrera marble spa-style baths, custom wall treatments, custom closets and two balconies, one of which overlooks the courtyard.

Also active is Unit #2C with a list price of $1,399,000. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment has 1,806 square feet of space. A marble foyer leads into a classic layout with Brazilian Cherry herringbone floors in the living room and formal dining room. There’s plenty of light from oversized windows, a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets and recessed appliances, plus built-ins and en-suite marble bathrooms.

Unit #8J listed last month and is still up for grabs! The competitively priced 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment is available for $679,000, making it the most affordable active listing at the Ritz-Carlton West End. With 771 square feet of space, the charming flat has new wide-plank floors, a gourmet kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, an in-unit washer and dryer, private parking and south facing views of the courtyard.

There were no new contracts or closings in January. Unit #PH1L has been withdrawn. The 1,324 square foot penthouse flat had been listed at $1,099,000, with 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and a private balcony. Also withdrawn in January is Unit #3F with 2-bedrooms, 2.5-baths, a den and 2,648 square feet of space. The list price was $2,290,000.

Those living at the Ritz-Carlton West End enjoy plenty of amenities, such as staffed front desk and concierge, a heated indoor swimming pool, a central courtyard with waterfall and priority access to Equinox Sports Club. Options for housekeeping, room service and private chefs are also available. Street level businesses include CVS, SoulCycle and Sweet Green. The Landmark’s West End Cinema is right across the street, as are restaurants like Rasika, Blue Duck Tavern and Café Deluxe.
