Ritz-Carlton West End | Market Pulse | March 2024

With its instant name recognition and white-gloves service, the Ritz-Carlton West End combines two luxury condo towers with a first class hotel and street level retail. The West End location is just one of three for the century-old hospitality brand, the others being in next-door Georgetown, plus the latest addition in Chevy Chase. Condo residences at the Ritz-Carlton West End are celebrated for their spacious and elegant floorplans, along with an array of amenities. After a slow winter with few new availabilities, things are starting to pick up again, including a new listing at the end of February and two more in March.

Unit #7C hit the market in March with a price tag of $1,724,900. The two-bedroom apartment with 2.5 baths has an 1,846 square foot layout including an expansive front gallery. There are wide-plank hardwood floors in the living areas and carpet in the bedrooms. Also of note is the formal dining room, two separate private outdoor terraces, and a roomy kitchen with stone counters and stainless steel appliances, including a wine fridge. The primary bedroom suite has its own marble bath, a walk-in closet, and balcony access. The second bedroom is also ensuite, and the unit comes with two garage parking spaces.

Also new in March is Unit #6C with two bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 1,846 square feet of living space. This residence has a similar floor plan to Unit #7C above, including two large balconies, one of which is accessible via the large primary suite. The other terrace with its courtyard and waterfall views, is off the dining room, allowing for convenient access should you choose to dine al fresco. The dining room also works nicely as a library or work-from-home office. The apartment has a nice, organic flow throughout, with spacious sleeping quarters and elegantly appointed baths.

Unit #PH3C remains available after listing in February for $1,689,000. The duplex penthouse offers 1,795 square feet of modern living space across two levels. There are also two private outdoor terraces. The two bedroom suites are on the first level, with custom wool-silk carpeting and elegant ensuite baths. The upper level features a large main living room area with a 60-inch fireplace encased in artisanal stone tile. There is also a wonderful gourmet kitchen, a formal dining room, and a sitting room.

Also still up for grabs is Unit #8E with an asking price of $2,799,000. This exceptionally large residence offers three bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and 3,153 square feet of living space. A tiled front gallery leads into the huge living area with its window walls and standalone fireplace. The showcase kitchen boasts stone counters, panelized appliances, sinks on two sides, and a wine fridge. There’s also a formal dining room, a family room, a private terrace, and a laundry room with side-by-side washer and dryer, a sink, and cabinets.

There has not yet been any sales activity at the Ritz-Carlton West End in 2024.

This refined address offers plenty of full service amenities, with condo residents enjoying room service from the hotel restaurants as well as options for maid service and private catering. There is also a front desk with concierge, porters, and a doorman. A lovely inner courtyard features a dramatic waterfall. Additionally, residents enjoy direct priority access to the Equinox Sports Club with its indoor pool. This is a very walkable neighborhood, with nearby shops, restaurants, and the West End Cinema.
