There are times when a name succinctly suits the locale. Such is the case with The Waterview. The luxury full service condominium next to the Potomac River in the Rosslyn neighborhood, offers splendid views for those who live inside. Residences are in the upper floors of Le Meridien Hotel; there is also an adjoining 23-story office tower. In addition to the superb surroundings, residents enjoy a host of hotel amenities, including room service from the hotel’s popular restaurant, Amuse.
While there were no new listings at The Waterview in December, we’re including a sneak peek into January with Unit #2606. This stunning apartment expired at the end of the year and was relisted the next day. Priced at $1,599,000, the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath flat has a spacious 1,523 square foot layout and an impressive makeover from Akseizer Design Group with $100,000 in upgrades. Wide-plank floors, marble accents, a beautiful open kitchen, an impressive owner’s suite and sweeping views of the Potomac River make this a standout.
Unit #2503 is available for $1,475,000. The impressive 1,475 square foot condo has two bedrooms and 2.5 baths, with engineered blonde floors throughout. The contemporary open layout is complemented by a deluxe red-toned kitchen with dark granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The owner’s suite features a custom-designed closet and an en-suite bath with twin-sink vanity, separate shower and soaking tub. Views of the Potomac River from the living area and dining room, are extraordinary.
Also still active is Unit #1509 with an asking price of $714,500. With one bedroom, a den, one bath and 833 square feet of living space, this modern condo offers unobstructed views of the Potomac River, Key Bridge and the Georgetown skyline. Blonde hardwoods are in the living areas and den, with carpet in the bedroom.
Offering a competitive price at a luxury address, Unit #1706 is listed at $599,900. The handsome flat appears quite spacious for its 808 square foot layout. There’s one bedroom, one bath and a fun den that makes a nifty work-from-home space. Dark hardwoods are in the open living area and kitchen. Giant windows gaze out onto the Rosslyn cityscape. An open gourmet kitchen sports Viking, Sub-Zero and Bosch stainless steel appliances. A washer/dryer combo and one parking space are included.
There was one closing in December. Unit #1805 sold for $480,000 after listing for $488,900. The one-bedroom, one-bath apartment has 660 square feet of space with new wide-plank floors throughout. A space-saving gourmet kitchen with Viking and Sub-Zero appliances tucks into an open corner, while the bedroom has been updated with plantation shutters and a California closet.
Condo owners at The Waterview enjoy plenty of amenities. Full service options include maid cleaning and meal service from the hotel restaurant. There’s also a wonderful residents-only observation deck, a state-of-the-art fitness center, staffed front desk and concierge, a community room and secure parking. The historic yet ever-evolving Rosslyn neighborhood is known as the Gateway to Arlington—the first of five trendy urban villages along the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor, each with its own Metrorail station.
