The Waterview is ideally located near the banks of the Potomac River in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. The building combines hotel and condominium living, starting with the Le Meridien Hotel for the lower half and luxury residences for sale from the 14th through 30th floors. From the prime waterfront setting to full-service amenities, this is one of the most in-demand addresses in the Washington Metro region.
The downside for real estate shoppers when it comes to the Waterview’s popularity is the extremely low turnover. In fact, there was only one active listing during the month of June. Unit #2803 is a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath residence priced at $1,189,000. The spacious flat has 1,475 square feet of living space, hardwood floors, giant floor-to-ceiling windows and an open kitchen with Viking and Sub-Zero appliances plus marble backsplashes and counters. The layout is clean and modern and the views are terrific.
Unit #2004 went under contract in June. The super-cute condo was listed for just $479,000, with 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 570 square feet of space. With giant windows bathing the pale hardwoods in natural light, and an open stainless steel kitchen set into a single wall, this flat truly maximizes space for a clean and contemporary floor plan.
Unit #2703 closed in June for $1.2 million at full price after being on the market for just one day! The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath residence has 1,475 square feet of living space with massive windows offering views of the river and DC monuments from each room. Pale hardwoods and a modern kitchen with red-tone cabinets, granite counters and stainless steel appliances are also part of the allure.
Also closing in June was Unit #1705 with 1-bedroom, 1-bath and 660 square feet of space. Priced at $540,000, the apartment settled at $515,000. Blonde wide-plank hardwoods, big windows, a nifty modern kitchen and a stacked washer/dryer tucked into a closet combine to make this a sweet deal.
Also worth noting: Unit #1907 has been withdrawn. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath flat with 1,232 square feet of space is bright and sunny with huge floor-to-ceiling windows, solid wood floors and an open gourmet kitchen with blonde cabinets, dark granite counters and commercial grade Sub-Zero, Viking, Miele and Dacor appliances.
There’s plenty of perks at the Waterview, including options for maid and room service. The building also has front desk and concierge service, a roof deck with spectacular views and outdoor kitchens, a fitness center, health center, community room and secure parking. You can hitch a ride at the local Metro, drive across Key Bridge to Georgetown or shop ‘til you drop along Arlington’s trendy Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor.
