Designed by Pei Cobb Freed, The Waterview is a full-service condominium that enjoys a prime waterfront location in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. It is part of a complex that also includes Le Meridien Hotel plus a 23-story office tower. The popular neighborhood is often referred to as the Gateway to Arlington.

New to the market in September is Unit #1706, a modern one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with a bonus den that makes a nifty work-from-home office. Listed at $609,900, the flat offers 808 square feet of living space with dark hardwood floors in the living areas, carpet in the bedroom and den, and tiles in the bath. A contemporary cooking space boasts granite counters, with Viking, Sub-Zero and Bosch stainless steel appliances. Additionally, there’s a washer/dryer combo in a closet, plus parking.

Listed at $715,000, Unit #1509 has one bedroom, a den and one bath. The 833 square foot floorplan offers unobstructed floor-to-ceiling views of the Potomac River and Georgetown. There are blonde wide-plank floors throughout the main living area and hallways. The open kitchen features Miele, Sub-Zero and Dacor stainless steel appliances. Also included is a washer/dryer combo and one parking space.

Unit #2606 is the most expensive current available listing at The Waterview at $1,645,000. With two bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 1,523 square feet of space, this stunning apartment has an interior makeover by the Akseizer Design Group, including $100,000 in upgrades. Features include wide-plank floors, marble trim accents, an open marble kitchen, a large owner’s suite, a hallway office and giant windows that afford sweeping views of the Potomac River.

Now offering a price reduction is Unit #2503. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment with 1,475 square feet of living space is now listed at $1,475,000. Engineered blonde wide-plank floors run throughout. A deluxe open kitchen has red-toned cabinetry, dark granite counters and upscale stainless steel appliances. The views of the Potomac River are quite extraordinary from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

No units went under contract in September. Neither were there any closings for the month. However, Unit #1808 listed in September and was withdrawn after just 10 days. We will keep track to see if there is any other activity on the two-bedroom, two-bath corner condo that was listed for $939,000.

Unit #2207 expired on September 1, after listing August 13. Priced at $995,000, the two-bedroom, 2.5-bath residence has 1,232 square feet of living space, with blonde wide-plank floors and direct views of the Potomac River.

The Waterview is known for its full service options, such as maid service and meal delivery from the hotel restaurant. The residents-only observation deck offers amazing views of the region. There’s also a front desk, concierge, a fitness center, community room and secure parking. Rosslyn is a historic waterfront community that dates back to Colonial days as a ferryboat landing. These days, the neighborhood continues to evolve, with plans for a new park and recreation.
