Turnberry Tower is a 26-story modern monolith that is currently the tallest residential building in the Washington Metro area. With breathtaking views and super-sized floorplans, this full service Arlington condominium by the Potomac River has a well-deserved reputation for world class luxury.

New in December is the epitome of “Life at the Top.” Unit #TS01 is not just a penthouse, it’s a “tower suite.” Designed by renowned architect Salo Levinas, the stunning residence boasts 3 en-suite bedrooms, 4.5 baths and 4,447 square feet of living space. Enjoy panoramic river views from the balcony, a private elevator and an “owner’s bath” larger than some apartments. The price: $5.2 million.

Last month brought another lofty listing with #PH2101, a 3,045-square foot penthouse with 3-bedrooms, 3.5-baths, direct elevator access and a balcony with expansive views. Noteworthy are the Venetian plastered walls, new custom lighting and a fabulous kitchen with wine cooler. This residence is priced at $3,100,000.

Also still available on the same floor is #PH2109, similarly priced at $3,100,000. The 3-bed, 3.5-bath penthouse with 2,655 sq. feet has extended balconies with amazing views of the Potomac River and Key Bridge. Other features include elevator access, marble floors throughout and marble baths.

Listed at the end of November was #1606, a 1,404 square foot flat that had previously been withdrawn after multiple price cuts. The 1-bed, 2-bath apartment with hardwood floors is now available for $915,000. Features include a luxurious master bath and a long terrace with sweeping city views.

Unit #1504 listed in November for $1,050,000. The large 1-bedroom, 2-bath flat has 1,645 square feet of space, a big balcony with skyline views, warm wide-plank hardwood floors and a very contemporary kitchen. Also noteworthy are the custom wall finishes, direct elevator access and marble master bath.

Listed in October for $875,000 is Unit #1105. The 1-bedroom, 1.5-bath apartment has 1,322 square feet of space, premium finishes, marble tiles throughout, a balcony and an open kitchen with granite counters and Sub-Zero and Miele appliances.

Unit #404 went under contract in December with an asking price of $1,035,000. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath is stylishly finished with 1,645 square feet, cove ceilings, direct elevator access, an appealing open floor plan and a large balcony.

There were two closings on December 7. Remarkably, Unit #303 with 2-beds and 2.5 baths received a successful offer on the same day it listed. The asking price was $1,274,900 and the 1,803 square foot apartment closed at $1,275,000!

Meanwhile, #1404 with 1-bedroom and 2.5 baths listed for $1,125,000 and settled out at $999,000.

Wrapping things up, two residences expired at the end of the year. Unit #1204 is a 1-bedroom, 2-bath plus den that had been priced at $1,095,000 and #1605 is a 1-bed, 1.5 bath apartment with an $859,900 tag. We will keep tabs to see if these ones pop back up again.

Among many Turnberry amenities are a heated indoor pool, staffed front desk with valet and concierge, fitness center, spa, screening room and catering kitchen. The Rosslyn neighborhood is the gateway to the super-popular Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor with an incredible array of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment.
