Turnberry Tower |Market Pulse | December 2024

Still the tallest residential building in the Washington Metro area, Turnberry Tower soars 26 stories high. Ideally located near the Potomac River in Arlington’s Rosslyn waterfront neighborhood, the sleek and modern building was designed by Robert Swedroe and delivered in 2009. The proximity to the river results in stellar views, especially for condos positioned near the east or northeastern sides of the structure. The building is also celebrated for its incredible array of amenities.

There were two new listings at Turnberry Tower in December including Unit #1012 with an asking price of $1,500,000. The stunning two-bedroom, two-bath residence with a spacious 1,752 square foot floorplan boasts a private elevator, gorgeous hardwood floors, and giant windows allowing plenty of natural light inside. Also of note is the sweeping balcony, the open gourmet kitchen, and a splendid primary suite with a giant walk-in closet/dressing room, and a lavish ensuite marble bath with a twin-sink vanity and separate tub and shower.

Also new to the market is Unit #409 which is listed at $1,050.000. The 1,642 square foot condo has an outer foyer with direct elevator access, with doors then opening into the large and open layout with its pale blonde hardwood floors. The main living and dining area is complemented by a high tray ceiling with custom lighting, and giant sliders that open out to the expansive private balcony. The gourmet kitchen with its glossy Snaidero Italian cabinetry is completely open to the main area, and the primary bedroom enjoys two walk-in closets. There is also a laundry room with a sink.

Still available is Unit #TS09, a spectacular Tower Suite at the very top of the building and above the penthouses. Offered at $3,400,000, the three-bedroom residence has three full baths, 11-foot ceilings, a private elevator, and 2,655 square feet of luxurious living space. There is also a temperature controlled wine cellar, and a giant primary bedroom suite with a lavish spa bath, a huge walk-in closet/dressing room, and a floating enclosed storage unit. But perhaps the most eye-popping feature is the 514 square foot private terrace with views of the Potomac River and all the way across to Georgetown. Three parking spaces are include.

Unit #1404 received a fresh price reduction in December on the heels of two prior cuts. The spacious two-bedroom condo with two full baths is now priced at $1,115,000 after originally listing for $1,299,000. That equals out to $184,000 in reductions since September for the 1,645 square foot residence with private elevator access, a sweeping private terrace, and an impressive primary suite and a second flex-space bedroom that can also be used as a work-from-home office.

There were no new accepted offers or closings at Turnberry Tower in December.

This well-located building offers a tremendous slate of amenities for its residents, starting with a grand marble lobby with concierge service, door attendants, porters, and valets. A massive indoor swimming pool is housed inside an atrium-like setting with towering glass ceilings, and there is also a recently remodeled fitness center with a sauna and yoga studio. Other features include a private screening room with reclining leather seats, a lounge with billiards, business rooms, and secure garage parking. Rosslyn is the first of five Metro-connected urban villages along the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor, with countless dining and shopping opportunities.
