Wooster and Mercer | Market Pulse | January 2019

Located at 1600 Clarendon Boulevard in Arlington is the Wooster and Mercer with its luxury loft-style living. Developed by Abdo and completed in 2007, the popular condo community offers modern industrial finishes complemented by 140-year-old brick accents and massive factory-style windows.

While there were no new listings in January, one did pop up on the first day of February. Unit #W212 is a large 1-bedroom, 1-bath flat with gleaming hardwood floors, brick accents, overhead ductwork and an attractive open gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counters. The asking price is $725,000.

Unit #M404 is currently pending at $999,900. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath loft had been on the market for just six days before going under contract. The mezzanine condo has two stories of giant windows, allowing floods of natural light to bathe the striking hardwood floors. Also featured is a modern kitchen, floating iron stairs, exposed brick and ductwork and luxurious baths.

Also pending is Unit #W305 at $1,649.000. The spectacular 3,000 square foot loft residence has 3-bedrooms, 3-baths and towering wraparound windows. Warm hardwoods, a beautiful open kitchen and floating iron stairs leading to a giant loft living area with wet bar are all part of the allure.

Unit #W212 has been withdrawn from the market. The roomy 1-bedroom, 1-bath with 1,294 square feet of space had been listed at $749,000. Hardwood floors, glass-paneled bedroom doors and a balcony overlooking the grass and trees are among the features.

Residents of the Wooster and Mercer enjoy a central courtyard, a huge swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness room, club room and a dog park. The complex is ideally situated between the Rosslyn and Courthouse Metro stations, and is also close to numerous high-end shops and restaurants.
