Inspired by historic loft conversions in New York City’s SoHo warehouse district along Wooster and Mercer Streets, Abdo Development set out to create a new construction condominium experience in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood. Designed by Cunningham Quill Architects, the Wooster and Mercer Lofts community was delivered with fanfare in 2007. There are 87 units in total between the two brick buildings with both single and two-level floorplans. Sublime interior touches include 140 year-old brick accents from the original Children’s Museum in Washington, DC, soaring ceilings, and exposed ductwork.
Due to the extreme popularity of this condo community, there is only one active listing at present.
Unit #M303 is offered at $1,190,000, and features one bedroom, two full baths, and a large den with a closet that serves as a second bedroom. This dramatic 1,488 square foot residence has charcoal custom wall finishes contrasted by exposed brick accents. The open concept combines living, dining, and cooking all into one huge and open space accented by towering windows. Exposed overhead ductwork and long hanging factory-style lights add additional industrial chic touches. The chef-inspired open kitchen features stone counters and island, upscale stainless steel appliances, and pantry storage. The owners’ suite is huge, with ample room for bed, desk, and sitting furniture. An entire wall is dedicated to windows, and there is also a wall-mounted TV, a custom-designed walk-in closet, and a spa bath with a twin-sink vanity. There’s also an in-unit laundry room and two dedicated garage parking spaces.
There have been no sales at Wooster and Mercer during the summer months. The most recent closing was back in March when Unit #W106 in the Wooster building sold for $820,000. The supersized one-bedroom residence has a 1,400 square foot floorplan that could potentially support a room addition such as a second bedroom or flex space. Cherry hardwood floors run throughout the condos, along with soaring ceilings, exposed overhead ductwork, brick wall accents, and hanging factory-style lights. The chef’s kitchen features Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, and there is also an in-unit laundry room, as well as two secure parking spaces and extra storage.
There was one other sale in 2025, this occurring in January when Unit #M306 closed at $1,035,000. The has a large den/second bedroom, 1.5 baths, and a spacious 1,421 square foot layout. Other notable elements include interior sliding barn-style doors, giant windows, cherry hardwood floors, overhead ductwork, and an exposed brick wall along one side. The open kitchen was recently remodeled with white stone counters and a matching dining/prep counter with waterfall edges. The bedroom suite with its walk-in closet is quite roomy, and there is also an in-unit laundry room.
Those fortunate enough to nab one of the rare listings at Wooster and Mercer Lofts enjoy a great location along Clarendon Boulevard, close to shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. Amenities are also key to the appeal, with a staffed lobby with concierge service, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an inviting swimming pool, and a club room with billiards. The pet-friendly condo community has grassy areas for dogs to enjoy, and there is also a small next-door neighborhood park. The condo community has secure parking and is also closed to both the Rosslyn and Courthouse Metro stations.
