Superbly located in Washington’s Mount Vernon Triangle is a spectacular mixed-used community and upscale mall that has fast become a destination place to live, work, play, and visit. The Residences at City Center are the condominium component of CityCenterDC, with 216 modern condos split between two sleek towers. The sprawling 10-acre urban development also includes apartment rentals, office buildings, a hotel, a 1.5 acre park, and more than 40 popular shops and restaurants.

There were no new listings in August but there are still some terrific available residences at CityCenterDC. Still active after listing last month is Unit #1009, offered at $1,575,000. With two bedrooms, two baths, and 1,452 square feet of airy living space, this exceptional corner apartment is open and bright, with floods of natural light bathing the pale hardwood floors. The main living, dining, and cooking area is bracketed by huge window walls, and an extended balcony is the perfect place for 10th floor cityscape views.

There were multiple closings in August, starting with Unit #911. The two-bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment with 1,452 square feet of living space sold for $1,475,000 after listing for $1,489,999. Features include pale oak floors, stylish full-height built-ins, giant wraparound windows, a modern Euro-style kitchen that fits along one wall, and a long balcony that is perfect for drinks or coffee.

Unit #813 closed at $725,000 after listing for $749,000. The one-bedroom, 1.5 bath condo enjoys tons of natural light from its massive windows. Custom wall treatments add to the allure, along with a large foyer, a desk nook, a gourmet kitchen with white Caesarstone counters, and an east-facing bedroom with custom closet organizers.

Unit #709 sold for $660,000 after listing for $690,000. The south-facing one-bedroom, one-bath flat with a 761 square foot floorplan features large, private terrace, European white oak floors and a Foster + Partners kitchen with top of the line appliances.

Those fortunate enough to own residences at City Center in Washington enjoy staffed lobbies in each building, with front desks, concierge service, and doormen.
